May 19, 2019 4:16 am Published by Lewis moved to Taipei and began learning Chinese in late 2000 and lived in Greater China for over 5 years between 2005 and 2015, working in business development, sourcing and manufacturing for the HMI Group and STS Systems. In 2014, he and two partners established China trade services firm, Orient Partners, consulting to major firms such as Fulton Hogan and Model Co. In this role he consulted with clients on trading with China, developing distribution networks and managing logistics. Working in China-Australia trade for so long, Lewis identified that there was a lack of locally-based businesses offering promotion to Chinese customers and China-Connex was established in response to that demand. China-Connex is the vehicle through which he can utilise his experience and pursue his passion for increasing opportunities for Australian exports to China. Lewis is well-embedded in the Canberra business community and is currently the Vice President of the Australia-China Business Council ACT.
